The Working Man’s Belt by American Bench Craft is 1.5” wide and more than 1/8” thick. The buckle we use with our Working Man’s Belt is secured with snap fasteners, so the buckle can easily be switched out with your own custom buckle if you prefer.
Our black leather Working Man’s Belt is available with stainless steel hardware, and our brown leather belt is available with solid brass. Our belts are heavy-duty, rugged and extremely durable. They can be stylishly worn with any pair of jeans, khaki pants or shorts.
For proper sizing we suggest one size larger than you normal pant size, so if you typically wear 32” waist pants, please select one of our size 34 belts.
Your Working Man’s Belt is constructed from a single strip of our premium, full grain, vegetable-tanned leather, which is cut to size once you place your order (please contact us for custom sizing). We stamp and finish your belt using simple hand tools for an entirely handcrafted product, proudly Made-in-the-USA.
Simple products are more durable. Fewer parts equal less susceptibility to failure. The single piece design ensures our belts will last for years to come.
Upon close inspection, you’ll notice subtle scars, brands and marks that ensure your belt was made from full grain leather. Hides are split into numerous layers; however, each hide has only one Full Grain layer. The Full Grain layer is the very top of the hide, and is the most sought after cut because it is the strongest layer and develops a unique patina, which allows the leather to improve with age and use.
The subtle imperfections characteristic of full grain leather ensure the authenticity of your belt, and that a completely all-natural and unaltered material was used in its construction, making your belt incredibly durable and one-of-a-kind.
We use only vegetable-tanned leather with our belts, because only vegetable-tanned leather is all-natural, is environmentally friendly, requires skilled craftsmen to produce and dye, smells like leather not chemicals and develops a unique patina that is entirely your own. All of this ensures our belts are of the highest quality and craftsmanship, and are built durable to survive and thrive in any environment.
Both thread stitching and metal snaps offer strong holds, however we have found snaps hold up better against the friction that results from your belt being worn every day. Heat and friction cause thread to fray. Heat and friction simply polish metal; making snaps a unique, strong and attractive alternative to thread stitching.

Years ago I bought a belt at a flea market in Flordia. The lady told me the secret to a long lasting belt was one piece of leather. I wore that belt for over 25 years. Since then I get about two years out of a belt. I've had this belt for a while now and it still looks brand new, like I haven't worn it. This belt will probably last me for the rest of my life. My next purchase will be the dress belt just because I like it. You won't regret this belt

I own the brown Frontier front pocket wallet and the black working man's belt. For me, I research everything before I buy. I bought both of these with intensions of them last years. I've owned the wallet for 2 years now and the belt for 4 months. I use both on a daily basis. My wallet is broken in and the patina looks great and the leather is the best period. The rivets are still perfect and there's zero stitching to worry about. If your interested in quality and would like your purchases to last years, this is it. You definitely get what you pay for here.
